A trip to Dowerin is not complete without a Rusty selfie! Pose for a photo with our trusty Tin Dog who stands guard to the west entrance to town and tells the story of our pioneering history and use the hashtag #rustythetindog to share on social media.

Fancy a picnic in the park? Let your kids lose in Centenary Park which offers picnic benches, a BBQ facility, playground equipment, skate park and is in close proximity to our local shops and services. Enjoy a country lunch at our local bakery, roadhouse or country pub. Stock up on consumables at our friendly supermarket and butcher and get those important travel, home and garden supplies at JK’s – Dowerin’s Main Street has a lot to offer to those passing through the region.

If you need to stretch your legs, take a stroll around the town site and find all the sights on our historical town site trail or head into the bush and explore some of the last strands of untouched natural bush in the Wheatbelt by choosing one of 2 trails (long or short) that make up the Tin Dog Creek Walk Trail.
