AROUND THE TOWN

A trip to Dowerin is not complete without a Rusty selfie! Pose for a photo with our trusty Tin Dog who stands guard to the west entrance to town and tells the story of our pioneering history and use the hashtag #rustythetindog to share on social media. Rosey is a welcomed addition to the Tin Dog family. Rosey is located on Stewart Street pointing out the direction of the Dowerin Community Resource Centre. Have a picture with Rosey and use hashtag #roseythetindog.

Fancy a picnic in the park? Let your kids loose in Centenary Park which offers picnic benches, a BBQ facility, playground equipment, skate park and is in close proximity to our local shops and services. Enjoy a country lunch at our local cafe, roadhouse or country pub. Stock up on consumables at our friendly general store and butcher and get those important travel, home and garden supplies at Dowerin and District Farm Shed – Dowerin’s Main Street has a lot to offer to those passing through the region.

If you need to stretch your legs, take a stroll around the town site and find all the sights on our historical town site trail or head into the bush and explore some of the last strands of untouched natural bush in the Wheatbelt by choosing one of 2 trails (long or short) that make up the Tin Dog Creek Walk Trail.
